Note:

Undergraduate GPA is very important for PhD screening in Hong Kong. Below is some general guidance:

• 3.0-3.2/4.0 or 80-82/100: Self-funded track (monthly RA salary support from PI's research grant is possible depending on performance but not guaranteed). A strong publication record can somtimes offset a GPA marginally below 3.0/4.0 or 80/100.

• >3.2/4.0: Fully-funded track possible with strong publication record.

• >3.4/4.0: Fully-funded track highly possible; HKPFS possible (government-funded elite program).
